GL TRADE opened an office in Tokyo at the beginning of 2001. Development in Japan reached a crucial phase in April 2002 when GL TRADE acquired FOX, the popular trading system used by major Japanese and foreign financial institutions in Tokyo.

The integration of FOX and GL TRADE components has given birth to an enhanced solution combining the best of both worlds. Today, GL TRADE’s clients in Japan can trade some 120 cash and derivatives markets worldwide (including TSE JGB & TOPIX, OSE and TIFFE) as members or as electronic clients.

With a customer base of around 50 clients in Japan, GL TRADE now ranks among the key players for domestic solutions. The company headcount is around 50 staff, with a strong technology expertise to service an established client base in Japan.
